South America is a densely wooded continent. Here the energy production from biomass becomes a topic more and more. Either wood pelletizing plants, biomass firing or gasification processes – everywhere drying is necessary.
We are glad that we can supply now the first drier to Uruguay for the company BioEner S.A. And this is not any machine – no, this plant dries 20 tons per hour wood chips, microchips and sawdust with 15 MW low-temperature waste heat, not, in fact, in consecutive processes, but as a mixture.
BioEner there operates a gasification plant. The whole process is already in operation, there is, however, a lack of a functioning drying plant. STELA now will have the task to produce and commission this machine during the next weeks.
STELA sales manager Tobias Latein explains: „The customer likes our technically elaborate concept. We were able to meet best the complicated requirements of the inhomogeneous product mixture. Finally, the customer was completely convinced of the experience we have in the supply of large-scale plants – also internationally.”
