In the new plant of NRW Pellets in Erndtebrück/DE the first wood pellets left the presses. With an overall length of more than 50 m, the STELA belt drier in the local production is one of the largest single plants worldwide. But even more impressive is the noise you can hear – (almost) nothing.
Every hour more than 600,000 cubic meters of air flow through the machine. Nevertheless are only low noise emissions detectable on site. This is enabled by the modern sound-proof technology, which was developed by STELA for their plants. Not only the airside emissions are reduced, but also the noises that derive from small emitters such as the fans of the drive motors.
With the increasing legislative demands for emission protection it is very important for a plant operator that the requested values can be observed by the machine.
This takes in fact a lot of time in the planning period of an plant. But due to the good cooperation between the plant operators and STELA in the phase before the dryer was installed, the requirements were met.
Besides that – the dryer has an hourly throughput of nearly 32 tons of fresh sawdust.
